Experience the Creative Vision of Driftwood by Sto Art Gallery

KEYHOLDER

Driftwood by God (with a little help from Sto)

In the beginning God created the heavens and Earth. God made the oceans and land. God planted seeds. Some of them grew to be large, beautiful trees. While on the Earth the trees underwent tribulations. Drought, fires, freezes, mudslides, and even attacks from insects (termites: bark beetles), animals (beavers; bears) and humans.

As with all living things, the trees, that start out as small seeds, eventually grow and die. Some of the trees live 50, 100 or even 200+ years. When the trees die, God is not through with them. Although their spirits move on, the trees themselves become other things.

Two centuries ago, some of the trees became the building materials for the execution of thousands of people via crucifixion. One of possibly two trees contributed to the "The Cross," the structure an innocent man was killed on. The tree or trees played a major role in "The Greatest Sacrifice ever made." It is possible that after the trees were apart of "The Greatest Story ever told," they became driftwood.

Today trees have many different roles. Some become places for shelter and nourishment for animals and insects. Some become the lumber that is used to build homes for people. Some eventually make it to creeks and rivers. Over months or even years these pieces are shaped and polished by God. They are made into works of art.

Congratulations. You now get to share in this story!
